We LOVE bath bombs in this house. I mean, really love them.
If you’ve been following along, what I am about to share won’t come as a huge surprise to you: bath bombs are probably releasing a lot more than just colored fizz into that soothing tub of hot water. Most bath bombs are LOADED with toxic ingredients such as “fragrance.” This umbrella term can be hiding hundreds of chemicals, including common allergens and endocrine disruptors. Because I am all about solutions (not just identifying the problem…) the girls and I spent a recent Saturday making DIY Geode Bath Bombs from a Young Living recipe I stumbled across. They turned out pretty well!
We used organic ingredients when possible, and although there is room for improvement, I really enjoyed knowing EXACTLY what my girls are soaking their precious little bodies in. After all, your skin is your largest organ, and children are especially susceptible to.
If you’re not into DIYs, at least seek out talc-free and safe fragrance options. And if you ARE into the idea of making your own bath bombs, feel free to check out the link to the recipe here!
