Beautycounter NEW Makeup Edit: Review & a Tutorial

It’s finally here! For 2+ years Christy Coleman, celebrity makeup artist and the “green beauty” genius behind Beautycounter’s color collection, has been meticulously working on these artistic grade powders. One swipe application, color that lasts all day without reapplying, and palettes of colors that work on all skin tones. Once again Beautycounter is setting the industry bar for safety and performance.

Get the Look – The Romantic

Flattering to all skin tones, the new Velvet Eyeshadow Palettes feature nine long-wearing shades in matte and satin finishes, including a sparkling topper shade (in my demo below I used Moondust) to take your look from day to night.  This formula is triple-milled to a precise silky-smooth texture so it lays down evenly and blends seamlessly.

What I LOVE: Beautycounter is very selective when it comes to pigments.  Of the 63 cosmetic colorants allowed in the U.S., Beautycounter currently only uses 18 in their cosmetics, 10 of which are “naturally-derived” and 8 of which are “synthetic” colorants.  Every batch of color cosmetics is tested for heavy metals to ensure it meets Beautycounter’s industry-leading standards.

Below I am sharing a makeup “tutorial” featuring yours truly using the NEW Beautycounter Velvet Eyeshadow Palette in “Romantic” bundle. Payoff, Precision, Performance and Purity. The new makeup is no joke!!  Seamless application, incredible color density and real staying power.

The Four Ps of Safer Powder:

Payoff: One-swipe color intensity, Artist-grade pigments.

Precision: Triple-milled to a silky-smooth texture.

Performance: Long-wearing, Even application and seamless blendability.

Purity: Every batch tested for heavy metals. Industry-leading safety standards.

The “Get the Look” Set is a customizable 4-piece makeup kit.  There are 3 “Get the Look” options: The Classic, The Romantic (which I demonstrate in the video), and The Statement.  Each set contains 4 products: eyeshadow palette, eyeliner, bronzer or highlighter, and lipstick.  These looks are curated to be added to your Flawless in Five routine, to take the look to the next level. $115 ($145 value).
