Today marks my 5 YEAR anniversary with Beautycounter!
When I learned there are little to no ingredient safety measures in the $90+ BILLION dollar personal care industry, I almost passed out. I literally couldn’t believe it. I personally needed to make a bunch of safer swaps so I joined as a consultant to unlock the discount and potentially monetize the opportunity to educate people about the importance of making safer choices.
I figured that if I managed to have a little success (I really had no idea if this whole direct sales thing would work for me) some extra “shoe money” would be absolutely welcome.
FIVE YEARS later and here I am, celebrating this milestone. A huge THANK YOU to all the people who have cheered me on. It is not lost on me that I would not be here without my amazing colleagues who have helped to pick me up and dust me off when I get my ass kicked out on the field, my amazing team for whom I endeavor to lead by example, my clients that trust me with some of their more intimate decisions, and of course friends & family who have been encouraging and kind. And to all the people in the back, who doubted me or even poked some fun at me, THANK YOU TOO, you also helped me learn to be stronger.
I have learned sooo many important lessons and I’ll close with a few key takeaways: Dream big. Be consistent. Don’t apologize. #BEBOLD. Cheers to what the next FIVE YEARS may bring✨
